Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. The document writer license is issued by the District Registrar of the Registration District concerned.
2. The application form for the Document writer’s license should be obtained from your nearest Registrar office. Contact Link
3. Make sure that you have all the documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
4. The filled application should be submitted to the Licensing authority in person with necessary fee receipt.
5. The license is issued based on the requirement in each registration district and sub-district.
6. The licensing authority decides the required number of document writer in the concerned district.
7. The registrar can accept or reject the application after checking the eligibility criteria and will intimate the candidate.
8. If the applicant is eligible, then the document writers license will be approved and issued to the applicant by the District Registrar of the Registration District concerned.
9. The selected licensee would be trained for document writing, and the government will teach the dos and don’ts in document writing profession.

The documents required for the document writer application are:

• Educational Qualification Certificate.
• An attested copy of Character Certificate.
• Recommendation Letter
• Occupational Proof (If any)

Eligibility

To obtain the document writer license,

• The individual should not be less than 18 years of age.
• A bachelor’s degree from the recognized university.
• If the individual is from hereditary document writer, the 10+2 educational qualification is enough.
• The individual should be of good character.
• The individual should write documents legibly.

Fees

Explain the fees structure which is required for obtaining the certificate/document.

Validity

• The license is valid till 31st December of ever year, irrespective of the issued date.
• The license has to be renewed by applying for renewal.
• The license renewal application has to be made 15 days before the expiry date.
