Telangana - How to Pay Electricity Bill

Electricity bill payment for the electricity consumed by a consumer shall be paid to the respective state electricity board (department).
“Telangana State Southern Power Distribution Company Limited” (TSSPDCL) is the electricity regulation board operating within the Five Southern Districts of Telangana (Hyderabad, Ranga Reddy, Mahaboobnagar, Medak and Nalgonda).
“Telangana State Northern Power Distribution Company Limited” (TSNPDCL) is the electricity regulation board operating within the seventeen Northern Districts of Telangana (Adilabad, Nizamabad, Karimnagar, Warangal and Khammam).
Payment of electricity bill shall be paid through
1. Cash counters of respective electricity board office
2. Online portal
3. Pay through Mobile App
4. Pay through other sources

Tariff:

There are different amount charged for residential and commercial users. The rate of per unit charge varies with state to state and as per the slab decided by the respective electricity board.

Pay in person

Consumers shall pay their electricity bill by person at the respective electricity board office.

Go to the respective center and pay your bill amount along with the bill to make payment.
The counter staff will issue you the receipt for the payment made

Billdesk option:

As you select Billdesk option from the option provided from the above link, User will be directed to the Billdesk page.
In the given page, please enter service number, e-mail id In the prompted place and hit “Make Payment” to reach the next screen.
Details for the account number will be displayed. Please enter the amount to pay at the given place and hit "Submit" to reach the payment gateway page.
In the payment gateway page, please select the type of payment and provide required details at prompted places and hit make payment to reach the successive page.
User should follow the screen prompt for the payment mode selected to complete online payment transaction.
Once the payment is accepted, user will get a transaction acknowledgement. Please keep it saved or printed for future reference.

Billdesk option:

Click on “Pay your Bill” option.
As you select Billdesk option from the option provided from the above link, User will be directed to the Billdesk page.
In the given page, please enter service number In the prompted place OR provide, Circle code, ERO Code and Consumer number then hit “Submit” to reach the next screen.
Details for the account number will be displayed. If the details are ok please hit "Submit" to reach the payment gateway page.
In the payment gateway page, please select the type of payment and provide required details at prompted places and hit make payment to reach the successive page.
User should follow the screen prompt for the payment mode selected to complete online payment transaction.
Once the payment is accepted, user will get a transaction acknowledgement. Please keep it saved or printed for future reference.

Twallet option:

In order to pay through Twallet, use the link: Twallet link
Select the service provider for your area from the drop down menu in the new page and enter your service number and hit “Request Bill Amount” to reach next page (for TSNPDCL, Circle and ward details also to be provided)
The resulting page displays bill amount and consumer details for the provided service number
Please enter the amount to pay at the given place and hit "Pay".
User should provide registered mobile number and password to process the online payment.
In the payment gateway page, please select applicable options and provide required details at prompted places and hit make payment to reach the successive page.
User should follow the screen prompt for the payment mode selected to complete online payment transaction.
Once the payment is accepted, user will get a transaction acknowledgement. Please keep it saved or printed for future reference.

TSNPDCL App Payments- Mobile App

This app can be downloaded using the goggle play store. play store link
Once the app is installed, user has to login to access the options.
Once logged in, user will get the screen with options to choose, please select Pay your bill option to pay.
Once the next screen reached, please provide the prompted details and proceed for making payment using appropriate option.
Once you select the payment type, user will be directed to the respective payment gateway option for user to provide appropriate details against the prompt.
After completing the screen prompt, please use the respective option to pay online.
Once the payment is accepted, user will get a transaction acknowledgement. Please keep it saved or printed for future reference.

Other Apps to pay

Users shall use the private app’s to make payment of electricity bill. Please make sure with the respective department officials to confirm about these service providers to make payment.
Electricity bill can be paid through following apps Paytm, Amazon, Freecharge, Mobikwik etc,.

Apply through app

To Pay Electricity Bill, the applicant can download any type of payment app like Gpay link, Phonepe link, amazon pay link, Paytm link.
The applicant has to download the app by using the link.
First the applicant needs to completed the registration process.
For registration enter the mobile number and in registered number the applicant gets the OTP number.
Enter the OTP code and add on the bank account in the app.
For paying electricity bill, the applicant has to search for Telangana Electricity Board.
To link the electricity account in the app, the applicant has to enter the consumer number.
- NOTE: Format of the consumer number – “Regional code, section distribution, and service number.
And enter the name (optional), and add the registered mobile number which is given in the electricity board.
The applicant gets the monthly payment amount.
Now, the applicant has to click the “Pay” button and enter the amount.
Enter the UPI password and the payment will be processed.
There is no fee for this app.
The processing time for this procedure is within a minute.

EligibilityEdit

The individual should be a resident of the state.
Consumers are eligible to pay the electricity bill.
Every applicant has to have a meter reading to calculate consumption

FeesEdit

Electricity bills are generated with the slab rates applicable for the units consumed as per the state regulations
As a consumer, it is mandatory to pay prescribed amount as advised by respective board. (even the electricity is not consumed, each states has different default charges levied to its active consumers and the same has to be paid)

ValidityEdit

The electricity bill generated for the period has to be paid before the due date.
There will be a penalty for late payment. Authorities has the power to suspend the connection
This payment is valid for the consumed electricity units

Government provides electricity connection to those who apply for a new connection.
