To apply for Tourist Vehicle Permit (Jeep/Omni/Car) in Telangana the applicant has to approach the RTO office to which your area belongs to. Following link can provide you information related to the list of RTO office : RTO CONTACT LINK

Application forms can be obtained from the appropriate RTO offices that should be completed and presented along with documents and appropriate fees.
Officials would start processing your application.
Important verification's for the permit includes Vehicle condition, Body built, seating arrangements etc.. will be carried by authorities.
After checking the vehicle for its correctness and other appropriate requirements the application will be processed further.

Apply through State Portal

Application for Tourist Vehicle Permit (Jeep/Omni/Car) can be made through State Online Portal
Click on the “Click here to book online slot” option.
The applicant will be redirected to a new page.
Please click the “Issue of New Permit” link that is displayed under the “Permit” section of the page.
Click on the “Slot Booking” option and follow the instructions on the page.
Finally click on the “I Agree” option.
In the next screen presented, fill in the mandatory details and request for OTP. Enter the Captcha.
In the next page, you have to choose the day and time that you are planning to visit the RTO office related to the application and click “Next” button that is displayed on the bottom of the screen.
Please follow the instructions that are displayed in the following pages for filling the application forms and making payments and uploading required documents.
Take printout of the application form including acknowledgement and go to RTO office before 11:30 a.m. on the date of appointment and Present the completed application forms along with required documents in one of the counters and pay the appropriate fees.

Apply Through T App Folio

Download the “T App Folio” app from the play store.
After installing register to get into the app.
Provide the contact number or email id necessary and register.
On the homepage click on the “Transport Department – RTA” icon.
Under the new page that is displayed, click on the “Permits” icon.
Click on the “New Permit” option and follow the instruction shown on the screen.
Enter the details required in the application form, upload the files required and pay the fees.
Once these steps are completed click on the “Submit” button.
Payments can be made through UPI, Net Banking or credit/debit cards.
An official SMS will be sent to the registered mobile with the application number and other instructions.
The application status can be checked by clicking on the “My Transactions” option.

ValidityEdit

A tourist vehicle permit shall be valid for...

9 years in the case of a motor cab (passenger not exceeding 6 excluding driver)
8 years for vehicles other than a motor cab
In case of a vehicle covered by a tourist permit is proposed to be replaced by another vehicle, the new vehicle age should not be more than two years
The age of the vehicle is also considered to restrict the validity of the permit

NOTE: The period [9 years or 8 years] shall be computed from the date of initial registration of the motor vehicle.

Applicants may approach the Office of the Deputy Commissioner / Chairman (STA) who is in charge of issuing Tourist Vehicle Permits.

Status of the applicant, whether individual, company or partnership firm, Coop. Society etc.
Name of father or husband (in case of individual and in case of firm or company the particulars of managing partner or managing director as the case may be.
Full address
Information on whether applicant himself/herself intends to drive the vehicle. If so, whether, applicant:
- Holds Heavy Passenger Motor vehicle Driving Licence
- The number, date and validity period of driving licence
- Name and address of the Licensing Authority.
Registration certificate along with the date of first registration and Insurance certificate number.
Details of other permits if any, held in respect of a particular vehicle
Details of total number of Tourist Permits held by the applicant
Type of vehicle
Make of Motor vehicle
Particulars of convictions/suspension/ cancellation, if any, during the past three years in respect of the vehicle/permit held by the applicant(s)

Need for the DocumentEdit

As per Central Motor Vehicle Rules of 1989, Tourist Vehicle Permit are granted to owners whose vehicles are used for tourism purposes.
Tourist Vehicle Permit (Jeep/Omni/Car) is needed for an tourist vehicle operator for the vehicle to carry passengers on a rental basis from one place to another
These motor vehicles are constructed or adapted to carry allowed number of passengers as per permit, but not more than the allowed number of passengers, excluding the driver for hire purpose

It is advisable to go to the Deputy Commissioners Office between 9:00am to 5:00pm.
An operator with Tourist Vehicle Permit (Jeep/Omni/Car) should not allow more than allowed number of passengers in his vehicle
Proper payment of fees is required to travel in other states other than the permitted state
FC (for clearance) is a process meant for reviewing the condition of the vehicle by the RTO authorities
