Apply In-Person

  1. Ration Card holder should approach the ration shop/office of your area OR The concerned office as advised by the ration office/shop
  2. Link for contact: link please select the respective district contact to know contact details AND linkplease select respective session for details.
  3. Please go to the respective office.
  4. Applicant shall obtain the form from the respective office (please pay for the form if required) Or a written/electronically typed application on A4 plain sheet as advised shall be used.
  5. Applicant can download the form from the following link: Forms Link in the home page, please click on the “Application Forms” option on the left part of the screen to reach the “Application Forms” page. Here, please select “Civil Supplies” option to get a list of forms. Here, please click on the “Application for New Food Security Card” application form to download.
  6. Please submit the completed application along with the required documents to the respective authority.
  7. Authorities after checking the submitted application along with the attached documents will make entries and provide you record number for reference.
  8. Keep it safe for future reference.
  9. This application will be forwarded to the concerned Ward/ GramaPanchayath official for verification. The concerned official visits the house of the applicant for verification and approves the request, if the applicant is found eligible.
  10. The applicant is informed through SMS at various stages i.e., Advance intimation about date of visit of the official to his place of residence for verification of his application, Approval/Rejection of his application.
  11. After ground level verification ration card will be issued in 2 – 3 weeks as notified by the department

  • If the application requires any scrutiny, respective authority will do the due diligence.



Apply through CSC:

  1. To Add or Delete Name in Ration Card, the applicant has to approach the respective “CSC” center link
  2. The applicant has to select state, district, and block name from the drop-down menu, or the applicant has to click on their respective district to find nearby centers.
  3. Please visit the center and consult with the center operator about your requirement.
  4. If the operator issues an application form, then collect it and pay the requisite fee. Please complete the application form.
  5. Now, submit the completed application along with the required documents as per the “Required Documents” section of this page. It is advised to take the documents in their original to the kiosk for scanning purposes.
  6. The operator will process the application online. On successful submission, the applicant will receive an application number as an acknowledgment. The applicant will also get a transaction number as a text message on their registered mobile number.
  7. An applicant has to make the necessary payment as the center operator quotes and doesn’t forget to take the receipt.
  8. This application will be forwarded to the respective department for further processing.
  9. ”SMS” triggered update on application status will be sent to the applicant’s mobile. Please keep track of the notification.
  10. The submitted application will be processed by the department. A designated authority (supply officer) will verify the submitted documents and inspect the area of the applicant to clarify the applicant’s details.
  11. Based on the outcome of the above-mentioned steps and other internal processing, the designated issuing authority will decide on the issuance of the new ration card.
  12. The status, viz. Approval or Rejection will be conveyed to the applicant through an “SMS” or applicable norms.



Apply through Meeseva centre

  1. Applicant can reach out to the nearest Meeseva centre to apply.
  2. Contact details Meeseva centre link in the given page, please select the “MeeSeva Centres” option on the left part of the screen and choose “Authorized Service Provider” option to reach the “Authorized Service Provider” page.
  3. Applicant can download the form from the following link: Forms Link in the home page, please click on the “Application Forms” option on the left part of the screen to reach the “Application Forms” page. Here, please select “Civil Supplies” option to get a list of forms. Here, please click on the “Application for New Food Security Card” application form to download.
  4. Fill the application form and submit the form along with the required documents and fees to the Meeseva officer at the counter.
  5. The details will be processed online.
  6. Applicant gets application number as acknowledgement and the same will be sent as “Email” and as “SMS” to the registered email ID and registered mobile number respectively. Please save it for future reference.

EligibilityEdit

  • A valid ration card holder.
  • The applicant and his/her family must be Indian citizens and should be resident of the state.
  • The applicant or his family members must not possess any family card in any State in India (If they had one, it has to be withdrawn).
  • The applicant and members of the family must be close relatives.
  • New born above 5 years
  • Addition of member name after marriage
