Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. To Renew Flight Engineer License in Ghana, the applicant has to contact the nearest Civil Aviation Authority Office in Ghana.
2. Renewed application form can be obtained by visiting the Ghana Civil Aviation Authority Branch Offices.

4. Applicant has to enter all the information in the renewed application form.
5. Also, make sure that the applicant has all the documents listed in the “Required documents” section of this page.
6. Payment of appropriate fees should be made and that can be found under the "Fees" section of this page.
7. After filling the renewal application form the applicant is required to submit them to the GCAA office and the applicant are also to proceed to pay the prescribed application fees and submit the payment receipt to together with the application documents.
8. A processing time of 7 days is needed to complete the processing of the renewal application, after which the applicant will be contacted through a phone call to collect his/her renew license at the GCAA offices.
9. The applicant will be required to carry his/her identification documents when collecting applicant’s renewed license.

• A well completed summary of the flying experience form.
• A valid Class I medical certificate.
• Present a certified logbook or other flight record to substantiate the required hours (Make copy of the relevant log book pages for the licensing file).
• Two (2) current passport size photographs (full face).
• Proof of identification documents (Identity card or passport).
• Payment receipt of the prescribed fees.

• This License is valid for a period of twenty four months from the date of issue or renewal.

• Complete the prescribed renewal application form.
• Pay the renewal applicable fees and submit the payment receipt.
• Wait for the processing period to elapse then collect applicant’s renewed license.

• Every Flight Engineer License must be renewed in order to continue usage.

• Present a photo Identification Card or a Passport as a form of identification, details of which should be the same as the personal information provided on the prescribed application form and if the applicant’s identity cannot be verified, the application will be rejected, and the applicant will have to return with the proper identification.
