Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. Application form for renewal of business license (Category B) is available in Business Registration and Licensing Agency contact link.
2. Applicant must provide all information in the application form.
3. Applicant should make sure to carry photocopies and originals of all documents that are needed for completing this procedure.
4. Documents that are needed for completing this procedure is mentioned under “Required Documents” section of this page.
5. Applicant must attach photocopies of all documents (whichever is necessary) along with the application form.
6. Fee for this procedure is mentioned under “Fees” section of this page.
7. If all the above-mentioned procedures were followed properly by the applicant, the license will be provided within one day.
8. Applicant can collect their license on the same day of application.

Eligibility

Any individuals or corporate businesses that are registered and have an expired license in Tanzania are eligible.

Fees

Agency Business – Principal license fee:

• Commission Agent: TZS 300,000/-
• Travel Agent: TZS 200,000/-
• Shipping Agent: TZS 1,000,000/-
  

Broker Business

• Local Insurance: TZS 200,000/-
• Foreign Owned Insurance Broker: USD 3,000/-
• Local Shipping Broker: TZS 1,000,000/-
• Foreign Owned Shipping Broker: TZS 5,000/-
  

Validity

Business Licenses are valid for one year.
