Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. Registration with NECTA can be done with National Examinations Council of Tanzania (NECTA) contact link
2. Downloadable application form for private candidates is available in the following link
3. Applicant must provide all information that is requested in the application form.
4. Applicant should carry both photocopies and originals of all the documents that are needed for completing this procedure.
5. Documents that are needed for completing this procedure are mentioned under the “Required Documents” section of this page.
6. Applicant should attach all required documents (both photocopies and originals, whichever is necessary) along with the application form before submitting them at the office.
7. Fee for this procedure can be paid as per authority’s request.
8. If all these procedures were followed properly by the applicant, the registration will be done within a stipulated period of time.
9. If there is no information regarding the registration is provided, the applicant can visit the office to know the status of the application.

Apply Online

1. Online application for registering with the National Examination Council (NECTA) is available in the following online link
2. Applicant should choose “Registration for Private Candidate” if they are private candidates, “Registration for School/College Candidates” if they are registering as a school and college.
3. For logging into PREMS, the applicant should provide their “Username”, “Password”, and click on “Sign In” for signing in.
4. After signing in, the applicant should provide all the information that is requested in the online application form.
5. The applicant must upload digital copies of all the documents that are required in the online application.
6. The fee for this procedure can be paid online.
7. Finally, the applicant should click on the “Submit” option for submitting the application form.
8. If all these procedures were followed properly by the applicant, the registration will be done within a stipulated period of time.
9. The information about the registration availability will be provided as a notification via SMS or Email to the applicants.
10. If there is no information regarding the registration is provided, the applicant can visit the office to know the status of the application.
