Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. Application form for paying property tax in Tanzania is available in Tanzania Revenue Authority contact link
2. Applicant has to provide all information in the application form.
3. Applicant should make sure to carry both photocopies and originals of all documents that are needed for completing this procedure.
4. Documents that are needed for completing this procedure are mentioned under “Required Documents” section of this page.
5. Applicant must attach photocopies of all documents (whichever is necessary) along with the application form while submitting the form.
6. Fee for this procedure has to be paid as per authority’s request.
7. If all the above-mentioned procedures were followed properly by the applicant, the tax payment will be done within one day.

Apply Online

1. Application form for paying property tax in Tanzania is available in the following login link
2. If applicant is an existing user, they can login directly using their “TIN” and “Password” and then click on “Log In”.
3. If applicant is a new user, then, they have to register first by clicking on “Sign Up” button.
4. Applicant must sign up to the system by providing necessary information.
5. Once the signing up is successful, applicant has to login by using “TIN” and “Password” and finally clicking on “Log In”.
6. After logging in, the applicant has to provide all information that is requested in the application form.
7. Applicant must make sure to upload digital copies of all documents (whichever is necessary) along with the application form.
8. Fee for this procedure can be paid online.
9. Finally, they must click on “Submit” for submitting their documents online.
10. If all the above-mentioned procedures were followed properly by the applicant, the tax payment will be done within one day.
