Apply In-Person:
- To obtain a burial permit, the applicant must visit the Registration, Insolvency, and Trusteeship Agency (RITA) contact link
- Downloadable application form is available in the following link
- Applicant must provide all information that is requested in the application form.
- Applicant should make sure to carry all documents (both photocopies and originals) of all documents that are needed for completing this procedure.
- Documents that are needed for completing this procedure are mentioned under “Required Documents” section of this page.
- Applicant should attach both photocopies and originals of all documents (whichever is necessary) along with the application form before submitting it at the office.
- The fee for this procedure is Tsh 4,000/- if the death is more than 30 days and less than 10 years. If the death is more than 10 years, the fee is Tsh 10,000/-
- If all these procedures were followed properly by the applicant, the permit will be provided within a 1-2 days by visiting the office after getting any SMS or any other notification from the office.
- If there is no information regarding the burial permit is provided within 1-2 days.

- Medical Certificate proving the cause of death
- National ID/Passport/Driving License of the deceased
- Passport sized photograph of the applicant
- Ownership Certificate of the premises where the burial is done (if nearby a house)
- Permit from local authorities for burying in a burial ground/cemetery

- Any children or kith and kins of the deceased individuals are eligible for this procedure.
FeesEdit
- The Fee for this procedure is Tsh 4,000/- if the death is more than 30 days and less than 10 years. If the death is more than 10 years, the fee is Tsh 10,000/-
ValidityEdit
- Burial Permit is valid forever.
