Apply In-Person:
- Application form for exporting goods is available in Tanzania Revenue Authority contact link
- Applicant has to procure the prescribed application form for this service from the Tanzania Revenue Authority.
- Applicant has to provide all information in the application form.
- Applicant should make sure to carry photocopies and originals of all documents that are necessary for completing this procedure.
- Documents that are needed for this procedure is mentioned under “Required Documents” section of this page.
- Applicant should attach all documents (photocopies and originals whichever is necessary) along with the application form before submitting it at the office.
- Fee for this procedure has to be paid as per authority’s request.
- After submitting the application, a reference number will be generated automatically.
- Applicant must inform the Customs Officer about the availability of goods for export to witness the loading process in the container or truck ready for shipment.
- Customs Officer will then verify the Customs Entry (declaration) and the attached supporting documents such as invoice, packaging list etc.
- If there is no inconsistency and the goods are not being exported contrary to the export control regulations, the Customs officer followed by issuance of receipt and acceptance of an entry in ASYCUDA++ system.
- If all the above-mentioned procedures were followed properly by the applicant, the goods will be exported within 18 to 30 working days.

- Government of Revenue Receipt (GRR) as evidence of payment of royalty depending on goods to be exported.

- Certificates of Origin depending on destination of goods (EAC, SADC, EU and AGOA)

- Applicants can use a clearing agent for the exportation process.
- Customs procedure code has to be entered on the nature of goods that are to be exported.
- Exports are free of duty and taxes except for two items, raw hides and skins as well as raw cashew nuts.
