Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. Application form for Well or Borehole Construction in Tanzania is available in the Water Supply and Sanitation Authority contact link
2. Applicant must provide all necessary information in the application form.
3. Applicant should make sure to carry all needed documents as photocopies and originals.
4. Documents that are required for completing this procedure are mentioned under “Required Documents” section of this page.
5. Applicant must attach photocopies of needed documents along with the application form while submitting it at the office.
6. Fee for this procedure has to be paid as per authority’s request.
7. If all above-mentioned procedures were followed properly by the applicant, the document will be issued within 14 days.
8. Applicant will be notified regarding their application within one month through SMS or Email.
9. After getting the notification from concerned authorities, applicant can visit the office to collect their document.
10. If there is no information regarding the document within one month, then, the applicant can visit the office to know status of the application.

• Citizens of Tanzania and Permanent residents of Ethiopia who wish to have boreholes constructed in their region of property are eligible.

• Fee for this procedure has to be paid as per authority’s request.

Validity

• This document is valid throughout the period when the borehole is constructed.
