Apply In-Person:

  1. Application for getting a cosmetic import permit or license in Tanzania is available in Tanzania Bureau of Standards contact link
  2. Applicant must provide all information needed in the application form.
  3. Applicant should make sure to carry photocopies and originals of all documents that are needed for completing this procedure.
  4. Documents that are needed for completing this procedure is mentioned under “Required Documents” section of this page.
  5. Applicant must attach photocopies of all documents that are needed for completing this procedure along with the application form and then, submit it to the respective office.
  6. Fee structure for this procedure is mentioned under “Fees” section of this page.
  7. If all the above-mentioned procedures were followed properly by the applicant, the permit will be issued within one day.
  8. Applicant can get their permit on the same day of application.

Any Individual or a business that wants to import cosmetics from all other parts of the world to Tanzania are eligible.

FeesEdit

  • TZS 50,000 for Registration Fee
  • TZS 150,000 for premise registration
  • TZS 556,632.96 for Handling a 20 ft container
  • TZS 115,965.20 for documentation
  • TZS 41,747.47 for shipping service
  • TZS 13,915.82 for Corridor levy
