Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. Application form for getting an approved training organization certificate is available in Tanzania Civil Aviation Authority contact link
2. Applicant should provide all the information that is requested in the application form.
3. Applicant should make sure to carry both photocopies and originals of all the documents that are needed for completing this procedure.
4. Documents that are needed for completing this procedure are mentioned under the “Required Documents” section of this page.
5. Applicant must attach both photocopies and originals of documents (whichever is necessary) along with the application form before submitting it at the office.
6. Fee for this procedure has to be paid as per the authority’s request.
7. If all these procedures were followed properly by the applicant, the approved training organization certificate will be provided within 3 months.
8. If there is no information regarding the certificate is provided within 3 months, the applicant can visit the office to know the status of their application.

• Any company with required qualification and premises for starting an approved training organization or an existing training organization are eligible for applying to this certificate procedure.

• Fee for this procedure has to be paid as per the authority’s request.

• This license is valid for 12 months.

Need for the Document

• A licence from an Approved Training Organization (ATO) is required to demonstrate that a facility provided approved flying training, synthetic flight instruction, theoretical knowledge teaching, and was manned, furnished, and operated in an appropriate atmosphere for those programmes (aeroplane or helicopter).
