Apply In-Person:

  1. Application form for getting a permit or license for animal feeds import in Tanzania is available in the Tanzania Revenue Authority contact link
  2. Applicant should make sure to provide all necessary information in the application form.
  3. Applicant must make sure to carry both photocopies and originals of all documents that are needed for completing this procedure.
  4. Documents that are needed for completing this procedure is mentioned under “Required Documents” section of this page.
  5. Applicant must attach photocopies of documents and whichever original document is needed along with the application form while submitting it at the office.
  6. Information about payment of fees will be provided by concerned authorities at the office.
  7. Fee must be paid while submitting the completed application form along with all the needed documents at the office.
  8. The applicant will be notified regarding the availability of permit within 1 month.
  9. Applicant can visit the office and collect their permit once they got the notification.
  10. If there is no notification provided by concerned authorities even after 1 month, then, the applicant can visit the office to know status of their application.

  • Any individual or a business owner in Tanzania who is willing to import animal feeds from any other country to Tanzania is eligible.



FeesEdit

  • Fee for this procedure has to be paid as per authority’s request.



ValidityEdit

  • Import permit is valid for 3 months.

InstructionsEdit

  • A person shall not import animal feed resources out of the country without a valid import permit issued by the Director.
  • All animal feed resources for importation shall come from the registered animal feed premises in Mainland Tanzania.
  • All animal feed resources shall be imported through an official port.



Required InformationEdit

  • Name of the Applicant
  • Name of the Company
  • Proforma invoice number and date
  • Country of Origin
  • Name of the Manufacturer
  • Signature and Stamp of the supplier

  • This permit is necessary for importing animal feeds from all other parts of the world to Tanzania.
