Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. Application for exporting of timber through the port of Dar-es-Salaam is available in Tanzania Forest Service Agency (TFS) contact link
2. Applicants must provide all information that is requested in the application form.
3. Applicants should make sure to carry both photocopies and originals of all documents that are needed for completing this procedure.
4. Documents that are needed for completing this procedure are mentioned under the “Required Documents” section of this page.
5. Applicants must attach photocopies of all documents (whichever is necessary) along with the application form before submitting the application form.
6. The Fee for this procedure has to be paid as per the authority’s request.
7. If all these steps were followed properly by the applicants, the export document will be provided within a stipulated period of time.
8. If there is no information regarding the export is provided by concerned authorities, the applicant can visit the office to know the status of their application.

• Any business owner or an Individual in Tanzania who is willing to export timber from Tanzania to any other country of the world is eligible.

Fees

• Fee for this procedure has to be paid as per authority’s request.

Validity

• This permit is valid until the timber is exported from Tanzania
