Apply In-Person:

  1. Application for getting accreditation of Journalists is available in Ministry of Culture, Arts and Sports contact link
  2. Downloadable application form is provided in the following link
  3. Applicant should provide all information that is requested in the application form.
  4. Applicant must make sure to carry both photocopies and originals of all documents that are needed for completing this procedure.
  5. Documents that are needed for completing this procedure are mentioned under the “Required Documents” section of this page.
  6. Applicant should attach photocopies and originals of all documents (whichever is necessary) along with the application form before submitting it at the office.
  7. The Fee for this procedure has to be paid as per the authority’s request.
  8. If all these procedures were followed properly by the applicant, the accreditation will be provided within stipulated period of time.
  9. If there is no information regarding the accreditation is provided, the applicant can visit the office to know status of their application.

For journalists working with a newspaper or TV channel:

  • Copies of employment letter
  • Salary Slips for the past 6 months
  • Byline clippings (in case of newspapers)
  • Relieving letters/service certificate (from previous employers)
  • Recommendation letter of editor (current employment) in original


Freelance

  • Copies of employment letter with terms and conditions
  • Salary slips from all employers
  • CA Certificate for income prescribed in guidelines, in original
  • Byline clippings
