Tamil Nadu - Apply for Teacher Eligibility Test (TET)

ProcedureEdit

  • The “Teachers Eligibility Test (TET)” is conducted by the respective state government or the authorities concerned to determine the eligibility of candidates as teachers in government or private schools.
  • There will be an official notification release by the respective board for TET. On the issue of notification, the deserving candidates shall apply to register for the TET.


Apply Online

  1. The candidate shall use the following link to reach the respective portal to apply online Link
  2. In the given page, please scroll down and click on the “Tamilnadu Teachers Eligibility Test (TNTET) - 2022” (The option may change as per the year for which the test is conducted) option under “Current Recruitments” section for a drop-down list. From the drop-down list, please click on the “Online Application Form” for a new page.
  3. In the new page, please click on the “Click here for Online Application Form” hyperlink to reach the “Online Application for Teacher Eligibility Test (TNTET) – 2022” page. Here, please click on the “New User” option under “Application Login” in the top right corner of the page.
  4. A new page with instruction will be provided. Please go through the information. Click on the checkbox for the declaration and click on the “Continue” button at the bottom.
  5. The applicant will reach the “New User Registration” page. Please complete the page prompts as appropriate and enter the “Email ID” at the space provided and click on the “Send Email OTP” button.
  6. An “OTP” will be sent to the Email ID. Please enter the received “OTP” at the space provided and click on the “Verify Email” button to get the “OTP Verification done successfully” message.
  7. In the same way, please enter the “Mobile Number” at the space provided and click on the “Send OTP” button.
  8. An “OTP” will be sent to the mobile number. Please enter the received “OTP” at the space provided and click on the “Verify Mobile” button to get the “OTP Verification done successfully” message.
  9. Please enter the captcha at the given space as appropriate and click on the “Submit” button to get the “SignUp Confirmation” message with a system generated registration number and password will be provided. Please save it for future reference.
  10. Here, please click on the “Please click here to Login” option to reach the “Online Application Registration” page. Please enter the login credentials as appropriate and click on the “LOGIN” button to get a “Change Password” pop-up.
  11. Please change the password by following the prompts as applicable and click on the “Change Password” button. A pop-up with “Your password has been changed successfully” will be provided. Please click on the “Close” button to reach the information page.
  12. Please go through the details. Click on the checkbox for declaration and hit the “Continue” button.
  13. The applicant will reach the online application form page. Please complete the prompts for “Personal Details” section as appropriate. Once the page prompts are entered/selected, please click on the “Save and Continue” button at the bottom to reach the “Educational Qualification” section.
  14. Please complete the prompts for “Educational Qualification” section as appropriate. Once the page prompts are entered/selected, please click on the “Save and Continue” button at the bottom to reach the “Upload Photo” section.
  15. Please upload the photo using the prompts as appropriate and click on the “Upload” button. Once the upload is complete, please click on the “Save and Continue” button at the bottom to reach the “Upload Signature” section.
  16. Please upload the digital signature using the prompts as appropriate and click on the “Upload” button. Once the upload is complete, please click on the “Save and Continue” button at the bottom to reach the “Upload Document” section.
  17. Please upload the documents as applicable using the given prompts as appropriate. Once all the required documents are uploaded, please click on the “Save and Continue” button at the bottom to reach the “Preview” section.
  18. Please go through the application details from the preview page. Once the details in the preview page are correct, please click on the checkbox for all the declaration and then click on the “Submit and Proceed” button at the bottom to get a “Declaration” pop-up.
  19. Please click on the “Submit” button to reach the “Payment” section. Please click on the checkbox for the “I agree….” declaration and then click on the “Make Payment” button to reach the payment gateway page.
  20. Please process the payment gateway page as per the online payment option as applicable to complete the submission of application. Also, the online application form will be provided for the user to download or save for future use.
  21. This application will be processed by the respective department. Once the department approves the application, the applicant will get intimation and the admit card will be provided as per applicable norms.

EligibilityEdit

  • The candidate should be the citizen of India.
  • The age limit for the candidates is 18 Years to 40 Years.
  • For those who belong to SC, ST, and OBC, age relaxation in the upper age limit is 5 Years.
  • Candidates should be class 12 passed or a graduate from a recognized university with a minimum of 45 per cent marks.
  • Candidates should have obtained a Diploma in Education or Bachelor of Education (B. Ed) or completed any other prescribed teacher training programme/course.



FeesEdit

  • The TET application fee is prescribed by the respective exam bodies.
  • For general category – Rs, 500/-
  • For SC, ST or the person with disability – Rs, 250/-
