Apply In-Person:

  • The subdivision patta is mainly used for measuring the boundaries of the subdivided piece of land from the existing patta land. A subdivided patta landowner shall apply for the subdivision patta approval with the respective taluk office / tahsildar office within their jurisdiction where the property is situated.


  1. Link for contact details for district Select districts option from the left part of the screen. In the given page, please select the name of the district to reach the respective district page. Here, select the hyperlink for respective portal. In the district portal, please select “Revenue” icon provided on the bottom of the home page or “DIRECTORY>PUBLIC UTILITIES>Municipalities“ or “DIRECTORY >Contact Directory” or “ABOUT DISTRICT>ADMINISTRATIVE SETUP> Revenue Administration” option for the respective contact details.
  2. Please visit the respective office and consult with the designated authority about the applying procedure.
  3. The applicant shall collect the application form or write on a plain A4 sheet as advised.

  5. Please complete the application form. Attach the required documents as per the “Required Documents” section of this page and submit it to the designated receiving authority as advised.
  6. After receiving the application, authorities will check the submitted application and document. If all are in place, the application will be accepted.
  7. The applicant need to pay the processing fee and charges for the survey of land. Please pay the fees/charges as applicable as per acceptable mode and don’t forget to take the receipt.

  9. The authorities will make entries about this application in the manual record or electronically using the computer. A record number will be given as acknowledgement for receipt of the application form. Please collect it and keep it safe for future reference.
  10. The applicant will be informed about the next set of actions and the probable date or timeline for the survey of the land.
  11. This application will be processed further. The concerned authority will verify the land details.
  12. Once the details are verified, the application will be forwarded to the respective surveyor for further processing
  13. The surveyor will process the application. If required, the surveyor will measure the land physically in the presence of the owner of the subdivided land and also the owners/representatives of the adjacent land on a scheduled date.
  14. The surveyor will process the details and make required markings on the master map of land registry of that area.
  15. Once the above steps are completed, a printout of the extract from the town survey land register will be sent to the respective sanctioning department.
  16. Concerned sanctioning authority will approve the extract with seal and signature as per the format applicable.
  17. The status will be conveyed to the applicant through an “SMS”.
  18. Applicant shall revisit the office where they applied for this procedure to get the subdivision patta, or it will be delivered as per applicable norms.
  19. The whole process can be completed within 15 to 20 days from the receipt of the application or as per the timeline provided by the department.


Note:
  • Whenever a land with unique survey number (16 is the survey number) and patta gets subdivided, a new subdivision number will be provided for the subdivided registered piece of land. The new subdivided land will have the subdivided number like 16/2 or 16/2A etc.
  • As and when a land / property get registered, an acknowledgement slip will be provided to the new land /property owner for the automatic transfer of the patta. This acknowledgement will have an application ID and it will be helpful to get the patta.
  • Any patta land may be subdivided in view of sale of a portion of the land or due to the partition. Then the new piece of land subdivided will have a new patta number.


Apply through eSevai centre

  1. Please visit any nearby eSevai Centre. Link for centre Link please use the “Locate your nearby e-Sevai.” option under “Latest News” to get a new page for locating the respective centre.
  2. Meet the operator and inform the operator for the subdivision patta service requirement.
  3. The operator will open the required service page. Applicants shall provide the details as required and submit the document for scanning.
  4. Once the details are entered, please pay the service charge (if any) as applicable for the requested service.
  5. Once the details are processed, an acknowledgement receipt will be provided by the operator. Please keep it safe for future reference.
  6. The application number details will be sent to your mobile number through “SMS”.
  7. This application will be processed further. Applicants shall follow the department notification.
  8. The applicant will be informed about the status of the application that was submitted. If the document is generated, the applicant shall collect it from the nearby eSevai centre with the acknowledgement receipt or at the notified office as appropriate.


Apply Online to get the extract of the subdivision patta:

  1. Please use the following link to reach the online portal link
  2. In the given page, please click on the “View Patta / Chitta” option to reach the “View Patta / Chitta” page.
  3. Here, please select your district from the drop-down list against “District”. Please select the “taluk”, “Village” from the drop-down list as applicable. Please click on the checkbox for “Survey Number”.
  4. Please enter the survey number at the prompted space as applicable. The applicant shall select the subdivision number from the dropdown list provided against the “Sub Division Number”. Please enter the authentication code as appropriate and then click on the “Submit” button
  5. Upon submission, a certificate from the respective online register will be provided with details of the property.
  6. Applicant shall take a printout of the document to use it for their requirement.


Note: If the records are available online, the details of the said property can be obtained instantly.

EligibilityEdit

  • When a patta land is subdivided in view of sales / settlement / partition / gift / exchange / release, then the new owner of the piece of the subdivided land is eligible to apply.
  • The applicant should have the valid land details (survey number, plot number, etc.) to apply.
  • Landowners are eligible to apply.
  • Any individual, who is in need of such records, is eligible to apply.

  • Stamp duty charges have to be paid as per requirement.

InstructionsEdit

  • The subdivision patta issued is liable for cancellation without prior intimation if the department finds any false declaration by the applicant in the future.
  • The property should be under the enjoyment of the applicant.
  • The property should not be acquired under the Urban Land Ceiling Act.
  • The property should not be acquired by the Government for any other purpose.
  • Incomplete application will be rejected.
  • Avoid spelling mistakes while filling the application form.
