ProcedureEdit

  1. Go to the Motor Vehicles Office.
  2. Submit the required documents.
  3. Fill in the application form.
  4. Pay the necessary fee.

  • Owner's proof of identity documents
  • Seal
  • Owner copy of the new license plate registration certificate
  • Two license plates (damaged) (one for motorcycles) or a certificate issued by the police for lost license plates (if only one license plate is lost, return the remaining one)
  • The driving permit.
  • Compulsory Automobile Liability Insurance certificate (for resumption)

It is applicable for Taiwan vehicle owners who have lost or damaged license plate.



FeesEdit

License plate fee:

  • Automobile - $600
  • Motorcycle - $300

InstructionsEdit

  • The applicant must settle any outstanding taxes and fines prior to applying.
  • All vehicles must pass the inspection prior to applying.
  • The applicant must enclose the creditor letter of consent for pledged vehicles and pay a $450 fee.
