Procedure

A. Apply online (for citizens). - Taiwan Police Clearance Certificate Or Police Criminal Record Certificate Online with Images

1. In order to apply for PCC online, applicant has to reach the online portal: link
2. In the given page, Please select the mode appropriate for you from the tab (No use of natural person credentials / Use of natural person credentials) at bottom to get the next screen.
3. In the new page, user should complete the page prompt and hit the “Submit” tab to apply online.
4. Please save the resulting acknowledgement/application number for further processing.
5. Now call 8072-5454#4096 for confirming your application. Also, one can find the date for going direct to apply.
6. On the scheduled day go to the office and collect the certificate by submitting the printout of online application and documents as uploaded.

Applying process in Taiwan for citizen and non citizen.

a. Apply in person.

1. Applicant shall apply for Police Clearance Certificate in person with their “City Police Department at their place of residence”. (For those who live in Taipei, need to apply through the Taipei City Police Department)

4. Go to the respective office. Application forms can be obtained from the office on visit. Don’t forget to take the required copy of documents along with originals to the office.
5. Please follow as per authorities guidelines and submit the completed application along with documents. Applicant should pay for any charges if required as advised.
6. This application will be processed by respective department.
7. The certificate can be collected from the office where applicant applied in person upon notification or issued as per norms.

Applying process - overseas for citizen and non citizen.

A. Applying process.

1. Applicant has to apply with the “Taipei City Police Department” to obtain the PCC through mail or by fax.
2. Applicant has to fill the application form as obtained from the embassy. Link for application form : link
3. Once the application is filled in, please attach the completed application, required document and fee paid details.
4. Mail(post) these set of documents to:
   Foreign Affairs Division,
   Taipei City Police Department,
   No. 96, Yanping S. Rd., Zhongzheng Dist.,
   Taipei 10042, Taiwan (R.O.C.).
5. For fax number please call : 2375-6198 to get the fax number for applying
6. This application received will be processed by respective department.
7. The certificate will be delivered to the applicant as per norms

Eligibility

• Applicant with valid passport and a valid address proof.
• Age: 16 years and above. In case of minors, the application must be submitted by the parent exercising parental authority, if the minor has not turned 16 years.
• The current address of the applicant must be same as in the passport and other supporting documents.
• Applicants who are in need of residential status, employment or long term visa or for immigration to a foreign nation.

Fees

• Fee NT$100.
• Overseas applicants should remit US$7 in cash, while applicants from Hong Kong and Macau should remit US$6 in cash. Additional NT$26 is required if post service is needed.
• Fee/charge varies for case to case. Updated fee requirement will be provided by respective authorities while applying.

Instructions

Procedure in Applying for Police Record Certificate

• Fill out Police Record Certificate Application Form
• Submit requirements of 2 photocopies of passport and alien resident card (ARC) used in entering Taiwan
• Pay processing fee of Php300.00 (4-6 weeks)
• You will be given an acknowledgment receipt of the processing fee
• The Administrative Assistant in Manila will notify you once the police record certificate is received so that you can already claim it
• You need to present the acknowledgment receipt to claim the said police clearance.

If you cannot personally to claim the police clearance, you can assign an authorized representative. The authorized representative shall present all of the following:

• Your letter of authorization and one of your valid IDs
• One (1) valid ID of the authorized representative

Note: We may send your Police Clearance to your address withing the Philippines via LBC for an additional cost of Php100.00

Required Information

The application must contain data:

• name of the person, in case of change of name and surname and the original name or the original name or nickname if it is held,
• date of birth,
• identification number,
• place and district of birth,
• State of Birth
• permanent address,
• the alien's country of birth and,
• citizenship,
• sex,
• name and surname of father
• name and maiden name of mother.

Need for the Document

The Police Criminal Record Certificate is issued by the Police Department to show an applicants criminal history if any.

Police certificate is also known as good citizen certificate, good conduct certificate, police clearance certificate, or judicial record extracts. Applicants may have to submit fingerprints and certain personal information to request a criminal record check, and the police or government agency may charge a fee. If no record found, the police certificate will indicate such.

The Police Criminal Record Certificate is issued by the Police Department to show an applicants criminal history if any. Eligible applicants: persons who are or have been domiciled in Taiwan area.
