- Go to the Motor Vehicles Office.
- Submit the required documents.
- Fill in the application form.
- Pay the necessary fee.

Required DocumentsEdit
- Cancellation of a stolen vehicle (found)/ criminal cases:
- Owner's proof of identity documents
- Owner copy of the new license plate registration certificate held by the previous owner.
- The driving permit
- Documents to prove that a vehicle has been stolen (found) issued by the police or criminal cases certification.
- License plates (exempt where number plates were lost when the vehicle was found)
- Cancellation of un-transferred vehicles:
- Owner's proof of identity documents
- Seal
- Two copies of the overdue transfer advice or the legal attest letter.
- Cancellation due to overdue inspection or by law:
- Owner's proof of identity documents
- Owner copy of the new license plate registration certificate held by the previous owner.
- The driving permit.
- License plates (proof of lost/stolen vehicle required for lost/stolen vehicles)

InstructionsEdit
- The applicant must settle any fuel taxes and fines prior to applying.
- For un-transferred vehicles, the applicant must advertise the vehicle registration number, name of the buyer, name of the existing owner, the transferring dealer and the 7-day grace period for completing the ownership transfer process on the newspaper for one day. Application may only be accepted after the 8th day.
- It is required that any pledge on the vehicle must be cancelled before the application may be accepted.
- For applicants who have lost both the license plate registration certificate and the driving permit are only permitted to apply at your local office.
- Cancellation due to non-transfer of ownership may only be done at a local office.
- Cancellation of registration by law may only be done at your local office and may re-apply for a new license plate six months after the cancellation date.
