Procedure

1. Submit the required documents at the immigration department
2. Fill the application form
3. Pay the application fee
4. Applicant abroad are advised to travel to Syria for application
5. Applying for a passport abroad at the embassies is possible but processing time may take up to 6 months

• Document recruitment issued for both males and females who performed military service or were exempted from military service or paid a monetary compensatory amount
• Approval functional:to everyone who works in one of the public entities to advance the approval of the works have when applying for a passport, and is exempt from providing this approval all of the leading decision as a virtue of resigning.

• Applicants must be present when applying
• Due to war most Syrian lost most of their documents however passports cannot be issued without submitting the required documents the process of applying for a passport is not easy for most citizens
• Applicants must be ready for queues at the passport office
