Switzerland - Obtain Duplicate Driver License

ProcedureEdit

If your driving license is stolen you must file a report about the theft to the police.
Fill in an application form and submit it along with all other require documents. You can present the documents over the counter or send them by post.

Note:

The lost or stolen credit-card format driving licence is automatically cancelled in the driver authorisation register (FABER) when your new permit is issued.
Your old license becomes invalid when a new one is issued and may no longer be used. If your old licence is found, you should send it to the road traffic office with a note.

If you lose your blue driving licence it will be replaced by a new credit-card format licence.
