The following documents are to be scanned or photographed and sent with your application:
- copies of the pages in your passport which show your personal information, photograph, signature, passport number, passport issuing country, the passport's period of validity and whether you have permission to live in countries other than your country of origin
- copies of a passport or identification document showing personal information for the relative with whom you are applying for a residence permit to live

Note: If your passport is about to expire, you should renew it as you cannot obtain a permit for longer than the validity of your passport. You do this in your country of origin or your country of origin's embassy.
If you are submitting an application for your children at the same time you must also send in:
- a copy of the child's passport that shows their personal information, photograph, signature, passport number, passport issuing country, the period of the passport's validity and whether the child have permission to live in countries other than their country of origin.
