  1. Visit a Police Passport Office to apply for a provisional passport.
  2. Fill up an application form.
  3. Present and submit the required documents.
  4. Have your photo taken.

  • Before applying for a provisional passport, the applicant must know how long the passport is to be valid and if the country where he or she is going accepts a Swedish provisional passport. To obtain this information, it is necessary to contact a respective embassy or travel agency.
  • There are only certain passport offices that issue provisional passports.
  • For applicants who are under 18 years old, a written consent from their guardians is required.
