1.There are several motor vehicle insurance policies issued in the country therefore an applicant should start by making a decision on which insurance to obtain for his / her vehicle;

2.Thereafter the applicant should proceed to identifying an authorized and appropriate insurance company from which to obtain the desire motor insurance policy. 3.After choosing the most appropriate insurance company, the applicant goes to any nearby offices of the identified insurance company and find out the procedure and requirements for obtaining the desired insurance policy;

4.After getting the above information, the applicant then prepare all the necessary documents, obtain application form from the chosen insurance company and fill it carefully and accurately;

5.Then submit the filled application form together with the necessary documents to the insurance company and make any necessary payments and;

6.Thereafter the insurance company shall process and grants insurance policy to the applicants if documents are approved;

Need for the DocumentEdit

Motor Vehicle insurance is insurance purchased for any vehicle which includes cars, motorcycles and trucks and any road vehicles for purposes of providing monetary protection against physical damage and/or bodily injury that may result from accidents and any other liabilities. The most common motor vehicle insurance policies are: i)The Third Party Insurance Policy which insures vehicle against liabilities relating to death or bodily damages to a third party; ii)The Comprehensive Insurance Policy, it insures vehicle against loss or damages to a motor vehicle in addition to third party insurance; and iii)The Third Party, fire and theft Motor Insurance Policy which provided insurance to a vehicle if stolen and damages / loss resulting from fire in addition to third party insurance;

Insurance in Sudan is controlled by the Insurance Supervisory Authority (ISA), the Insurance Supervision & Control Public Corporation. It has a variety of functions that include Supervising, controlling and organizing all insurance business.
