Procedure

• For Christians, the church will register the marriage and then issue the marriage certificate.
• For Muslims, the marriage ceremonies usually takes place at home attended by a representative of Sharia court. The representative shall then complete the registration with the spouses. It will then be registered and the certificate is issued based on the registration.
• For marriages that takes place in civil courts, the registration will be made by the authorities.
