Procedure

1. To apply for a Phytosanitary certificate, Applicant shall approach the Plant Protection Directorate. Contact details are listed below under the “office locations and contacts” section
2. You have to submit an application request to the Plant Protection Directorate.
3. Please make sure you have all the required documents that are listed under the “Required documents” section of this page.
4. The applicant shall send the application request and Documents to the Plant Protection Directorate.
5. After the application request is processed and accepted, the concerned department conducts a visual inspection of the consignment.
6. Once the inspection yields satisfactory results, the Phytosanitary Certificate is issued.

• Packing list
• Bill of lading
• Pro-forma invoice / final invoice / packing list / name and contact of the importer and exporter
• Conformity documents or test reports (issued by ISO 17025 accredited laboratory) that comply with the SSMO/international/regional standards
• Certificates related to the management of quality / safety system

Validity

The Certificate is valid per shipment or consignment. A new shipment requires a new Phytosanitary Certificate
