Procedure

1.An applicant starts by finding out the requirements and procedure for obtaining a emergency travel documents in Sudan. This information is obtained by identifying and visiting the issuing office with is the directorate of Nationality, Passport and Immigration under the Ministry of Interior or at the Sudan Embassy in the Country of Origin.

2.When the above information is obtained, the applicant proceeds with obtaining the Application for Sudanese Emergency Travel Document (Form No. 3C) from the issuing office, and fill it carefully and accurately;

3.After fill the form, the applicant prepares all the necessary documents and attaches them on to the filled application form; and

4.Thereafter submit filled application form together with all the necessary documents to the directorate of Nationality, Passport and Immigration (Ministry of Interior);

10.Proof of failure to renew / replace passport in time

Sudan Nationals with expire or lost passports and are unable to obtain passports immediately but need to travel urgently due to emergency circumstances.

2.An applicant must have held a passport early thus the applicants passport must either be lost or expired;

3.Application must be submitted in person;

4.An applicant must first try to renew or replace original passport;

5.An applicant must have an urgent journey;

6.An applicant must prove he / she cannot obtain passport before travel date;

7.If passport was lost, an applicant must obtain proof;

5.Place and date of birth

6.Spouses name (if married)

7.Previous passport number

8.Statement of nationality

Need for the Document

Emergency Travel Documents in Sudan are issued to Sudanese Nationals with invalid passports or who have lost their passports that need to travel urgently but cannot obtain a passport immediately before the travel date. In accordance with the countrys laws and applicable International Conventions, Sudan travel documents are issued by the government through the Directorate of Nationality, Passports and Immigration in the Ministry of Interior with guidelines from the Passports and Immigration Act
