Apply In-Person:

  1. To apply for renewing Agricultural Remedy Registration in person, the applicant has to visit the office of the Directorate of Agriculture Inputs Control in DAFF.
    NOTE: Application forms for the renewal process are usually sent to the registration holder from the office of the Registrar. If the person did not receive, he/she can contact the office.
  2. The address and contact details of the office can be found in the following link: Link
  3. Contact the office and enquire for the application form for renewing Agricultural Remedy Registration if you did not receive it.
  4. Otherwise, proceed to complete the application form that you received with required details under relevant sections.
  5. Make sure that you have all the documents listed in the “Required documents” section of this page.Attach the required documents with the completed form.
  6. Then, proceed to submit the application package to the Registrar at the office in person for further processes. Make the necessary payment as directed.
  7. Also, the application can be sent to the Postal address of the Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries department office.
  8. After submission, the completed form and corresponding documents will be put into further verification and validation processes.
  9. Once all the processes got completed, the authorities will perform necessary actions for the renewal process of the Agricultural Remedy Registration.

EligibilityEdit

  • Any Agricultural Remedy Registration holder, whose registration needs a renewal, can apply to get his/her renewed.
  • The applications must be lodged before the 31st of March of the year in which the registration cycle lapses, to be accepted by the Department.

InstructionsEdit

  • The office of the Registrar sends out letters on the renewal and application forms to all registration holders within the three-year cycle.
  • If the agricultural remedy that you want to renew has already been registered by another person, you must get permission from that individual before renewal.
  • You must package the remedy in a clean and closed container. You are not allowed to re-use the container after you have emptied the remedy.
  • In case of a liquid agricultural remedy, you must make sure that the container does not spill the remedy when you pour it. Your container must comply with the South African National Standards 10229.

Need for the DocumentEdit

Any Agricultural remedy registration is only valid for three years and needs to be renewed or cancelled after the expiry date.
You must apply to renew or cancel your agricultural remedy registration for every three years.

The application will only be processed on receipt of a full renewal registration application consisting of Form A in triplicate, Form B (if applicable) and Form C in duplicate as well as the relevant registration fee per product.
