South Africa - Online Report a Tax Crime or Customs Crime
- Step 1 : First one has to make sure that all the required documents are in hand to apply online. If you would like to know about the documents that are required for this procedure, please visit the following link : Required Documents to Report a Tax Crime or Customs Crime
- Step 2 : To apply for reporting a tax crime or customs crime online, the applicant has to visit the following link: Apply Online
- Step 3 : Click “Continue” button which is highlighted in “Red” in the below image to lodge a new complaint. Reporting of Suspected Non-compliance form (RSN01) will be opened.
- Step 4 : Enter all the details of the person who is being reported in the respective fields and details and description of the non-compliance in the relevant fields.
- Step 5 : You can provide your personal details only if you wish by clicking the corresponding “Y” radio button which is highlighted in “Red” in the below image.
- Step 6 : And add any relevant document describing the non-compliant activity (if available) by clicking “Y” radio button which is highlighted in “Green” in the below image corresponding to the field.
- Step 7 : After completing the form as required, click “Submit” button which is highlighted in “Red” in the below image which will be present at the top left corner of the page.
- Step 8 : In the ‘Documentation’ page, you will be displayed a reference number using which you can upload any document that you get after submission of the report.
- Step 9 : If you have any document relevant to the non-compliance, click “Yes, I have documents that I want to attach” radio button and “continue” button.
- Step 10 : Then, click “Choose File” button to open a document from your computer and once opened, select “Upload” button to upload.
- Step 11 : Click “Upload More files” to add more relevant documents or “Complete” button to complete the submission process.
- Step 12 : If you don’t have any documents related, click “No, the information I provided is all I have” radio button in the ‘Documentation’ page proceed to complete your submission process.
- Step 13 : Remember that you cannot review your application process as the information submitted to SARS is confidential but it is obvious that the department will see through your report and act accordingly.
