Apply In-Person:

  1. To apply for a Building Demolition Permit or License, the applicant must visit the district building development management offices (Public Works & Infrastructure) Link
  2. The application form varies for different city and municipality; therefore, the respective application form must be obtained from the authorities at the management office, or else can be downloaded online from the link given here.
  3. Make sure that you have all the documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
  4. The application form must be filed with necessary details.
  5. Later, the application form and the required documents should be submitted to the respective official at the building management office of the concerned location and city.
  6. After submitting the application, the building will be inspected for the demolition process.
  7. After inspecting, the building demolition permit will be approved by the municipality officials.
  8. After getting the approval, the applicant must submit the “Intention to Commence the demolition of building” form to the district building inspector at least 10 days prior to the intended date of demolition. LINK
  9. The application fee of R503.00 must be paid, and the proof of payment must be attached to the application form.
  10. The processing time to get the building demolitionpermit will be intimated to the applicant while applying. However, the applicant must submit the application at least 30 days before the demolition process.
