Procedure

How to apply via the Small Enterprise Development Agency (SEDA):

1. You need to apply through the Small Enterprise Finance Agency (SEDA) which operates under the department of Department of Small Business Development. Note that the grants are divided in to serval categories that require different application forms
2. Obtain the application guideline and the application form of the grant you wish to apply for form the SEDA office in your location
3. Write a proposal on your subject of application and prepare all the required supporting documents as instructed in the guideline
4. Submit your application to the concerned officer in SEDA office in person, although in some application you will be required to submit the application via email their email address
5. Once your application has been received, it will be assessed and if it meets all the required merits it will be approved by the responsible authority
6. You will then be notified of the successful application and instructed on how to obtain the grants

Apply Online Via Small Enterprise Finance Agency (SEFA):

1. Register through the SEFA website via this link Link
2. In the information bar, click on APPLY FOR FINANCE drop box and select Apply here to open the new page
3. In the new page, read the information and click on the Continue tab to open the login and registration page
4. You can chose to register with one of the three options provide, either way you will need to fill in the required information and click on the”continue”button or select login if you are already registered
5. Once register, proceed and fill the online application form and upload the required document then submit your application online
6. Once submitted, you will receive a notification via SMS and or through your email account with details of your application
7. The application will be subjected to seven phase and at the end of the last phase it will be complete and you will be notified on how to receive the grants
8. You can track your application online via the SEFA website: Link and in the information bar, click on APPLY FOR FINANCE drop box and select Check Application progress enter the required details and search to view the your application progress

Required Documents

• Proof of ownership of the enterprise: A registration certificate if any - optional
• Certified ID copy of representative or owner
• Stamped Bank Statements or Letter
• At least three competing and comparable quotations including delivery charges from different service providers who are either registered on CSD
• In case where there are two or less quotation for the given interventions, the quotations will be sourced from suppliers registered on the central Supplier Database (CSD)
