Apply In-Person:

  1. To Apply for Renewal of Registration as a Builder, the applicant must go to the National Home Builders Registration Council (NHBRC) office in South Africa. Contact Link
  2. The application form must be obtained from the authorities at the NHBRC office, or else it should be downloaded from the official website linked here. Application Form Link
  3. Make sure that you have all the documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
  4. The application form must be filled with necessary details, and along with the required documents should be submitted to the officials at the NHBRC office.
  5. After that the application will be verified by the officials, and if the details provided and the supporting documents submitted are legitimate, then the NHBRC registration will be renewed by the officials.
  6. The fee details for the renewal application will be intimated to the applicant while submitting the application.
  7. The processing time to renew the registration will take a maximum of 3 working days to approve.

  • Certified ID copies of Managing Directors, Shareholders, or Owner of the Business. (Copies must be certified within the last 3 months)
  • Banking details and either a copy of a cancelled cheque or a stamped letter from the bank confirming banking details.
  • Proof of Residence.
  • Latest Abridged Certificate for Annual Returns. (CIPC/CIPRO)
  • Signed consent for reference check letter.
  • A bank guarantee letter.
  • A Stamp paper.
  • Proof of Payment Receipt.
