Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. To Apply for Nuclear Installation Licence, the applicant must go to the National Nuclear Regulator (NNR) office Contact Link
2. The application form must be obtained from the authorities at the NNR office.
3. Make sure that you have all the documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
4. The application form must be filled with all the necessary details, and along with the required documents it must be submitted to the officials at the NNR department office.
5. After the application is submitted the officials will verify, and asses the nuclear authorization process on various factors.
6. If the details and the documents submitted by the applicant is valid and legitimate, and aligns with the eligibility requirements set by the NNR department, then the Nuclear Installation License will be approved by the NNR.
7. After the approval, the applicant will be issued with the license certificate.
8. The fee details and the processing time to get the Nuclear Installation License will be intimidated to the applicant while applying.

Eligibility

Any person wishing to site, construct, operate, decontaminate or decommission a nuclear installation is eligible to apply in the prescribed format to the CEO for a nuclear installation license.

Fees

The fee details will be intimated to the applicant while applying.

Validity

The validity period will be mentioned in the license certificate issued to the applicant.
