The Central Applications Clearing House(CACH) prefers receiving the applications through sms, phone calls or online registration.

Apply Online

  1. To apply for Central Applications Clearing House (CACH) Facility online, the applicant has to visit the CACH website by clicking the following link: Link
    • NOTE: For the academic year 2020 the signup service is closed and will open again in January 2021 for the 2021 academic year.
  2. If you have registered already and you have an account, you can click an applicable login button and login using the user credentials.
  3. If not, you can register as a new user by clicking the applicable button to register. Enter all details required in the registration page and submit.
  4. After registration, login using you user credentials and enter into the web portal. Proceed to carry out application process of Central Applications Clearing House (CACH) Facility by clicking applicable button in the portal.
  5. Follow the on-screen instructions and complete the process for registering in the Central Applications Clearing House (CACH) Facility. Upload the required documents (if any) as directed.
  6. Also pay the fees (if any) and complete the application process. After that, the CACH agents will call the concerned student back, from the contact centre and ask them three security questions.
  7. Thereafter the agents will register all required details on the CACH database, indicating the learners' chosen field of study and the province they wish to study at.
  8. Then, certain details of the applicant will be made available to institutions of higher learning for possible admission and placement on confirmation by the applicant who will contact the applicants to offer available places in their institutions.



Apply Through SMS

  1. To apply for Central Applications Clearing House (CACH) Facility through SMS, the applicant has to send an SMS to the Short code number of the CACH portal.
  2. The applicant can find the number in the “Office Locations & Contacts” section of this page.
  3. Open the messages application in your mobile and type your full name and corresponding Identity document number to that Short code number.
  4. The first process of the registration for the Central Applications Clearing House (CACH) Facility has been completed.
  5. After that, the CACH agents will call the concerned student back, from the contact centre and ask them three security questions.
  6. Thereafter the agents will register all required details on the CACH database, indicating the learners' chosen field of study and the province they wish to study at.
  7. Then, certain details of the applicant will be made available to institutions of higher learning for possible admission and placement on confirmation by the applicant who will contact the applicants to offer available places in their institutions.



Apply Through phone

  1. To apply for Central Applications Clearing House (CACH) Facility through phone, the applicant has to contact the CACH service through your phone and apply.
  2. The applicant can find the contact number of the CACH service in the “Office Locations & Contacts” section of this page.
  3. Make a call from your phone and inform that you want to register in the Central Applications Clearing House (CACH) Facility.
  4. The person on the other side will help you complete the registration process. Follow their directions and complete the process.
  5. After that, the CACH agents will call the concerned student back, from the contact centre and ask them three security questions.
  6. Thereafter the agents will register all required details on the CACH database, indicating the learners' chosen field of study and the province they wish to study at.
  7. Then, certain details of the applicant will be made available to institutions of higher learning for possible admission and placement on confirmation by the applicant who will contact the applicants to offer available places in their institutions.

EligibilityEdit

  • Students who have not been offered a place at the university or college to which they have applied and want to find placement at another university or college, are eligible to apply.
  • Students who have applied on time to their institution of choice but their application were rejected and are unable to apply elsewhere, can apply.
  • Prospective applicants who had applied and met the entry requirements based on their grade 11 results but find that they now do not meet the entry requirements when their grade 12 results are released, can apply.

  • The CACH service does guarantee that applicant data will be actively distributed and made available to all possible institutions in the PSET system.
  • They shall take your Grade 12 results directly from the Department of Basic Education. The service does not guarantee that you will be offered a place.
