Apply In-Person:

  1. To apply for Building Plan Certificate, the applicant must visit the Municipality office of the concerned area in South Africa Contact Link
  2. The building plan certificate application form should be obtained from the authorities at Municipality office in the concerned location.
  3. Make sure that you have all the documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
  4. The filled application form and the required documents must be submitted to the officials at the Municipality office.
  5. Later, the application form will be verified on various factors, and if the details provided and the documents submitted are legitimate and inspection of the completed building will take place. If the authorities are satisfied with the construction the building plan certificate application will be approved by the Municipality department.
  6. After the approval, the applicant will be issued with the building plan certificate by the Municipality.
  7. The prescribed application fee details will be intimated to the applicants while applying at the Municipality office.
  8. The processing to get the building plan approval certificate will be intimated to the applicant while applying.
