Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. To Apply for Amendment of Marine Aquaculture Right, the applicant must visit the Department of Forestry, Fisheries, and the Environment office in South Africa. Contact Link
2. The application form must be obtained from the authorities at the DFFE office, or else it should be downloaded from the website. Application Form Link
3. Make sure that you have all the documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
4. The application form must be filed with necessary details, and along with the required documents should be submitted to the officials at the DFFE office.
5. After that the application will be verified by the officials, and if the details provided and the supporting documents submitted are legitimate, then the Amendment of Marine Aquaculture Right will be approved by the officials.
6. After the approval, the amendment certificate will be issued to the applicant by the DFFE officials.
7. The application fee of R265.00 must be paid while submitting the application, and the proof of payment must be attached to the application form.
8. The processing time to get the approval for the Amendment of Marine Aquaculture right will be intimated to the applicant after applying.

Eligibility

• The prior marine aquaculture right holders are eligible to apply for the amendment of marine aquaculture right application.

Fees

• Application fee is R265.00.

Validity

• The amended rights of Marine Aquaculture valid for 15 years.
• However, it must be renewed annually by the applicant.
