Procedure

Apply In-Person

1. To Start a Coastal Fish Farm, the applicant has to approach the Singapore Food Agency link
2. An application form will be provided to the applicant by the authorized officer.
3. The application form also downloaded from the following link
4. The applicant has to fill in all the necessary details in the application form (Incomplete application forms are not accepted)
5. Make sure the applicant has attached all the necessary documents that are mentioned under the “Required Documents” section of this page (Both photocopies and originals).
6. The applicant should attach the photocopies of the required documents while submitting.
7. Fee payment details is mentioned in the “Fees” section of this page.
8. Applicant can submit the application form and the documents to the respective office.
9. The authority will review the application form and the documents.
10. The completed application will be processed in about 25 working days. SFA will inform the applicant on the outcome of the application by email.
11. Upon successful completion, the authority will issue the document by visiting the office.

Need for the Document

As it is important that the limited sea space allocated for food fish farming is optimised for sustainable production of food, only farming activities are permitted at coastal fish farms. Coastal fish farms are not allowed to host non-farming activities, such as commercial tours and fishing trips.
