  1. To Apply to Withdraw Deceased Member CPF, the applicant has to make the application in Central Provident fund board or tap the following link
  2. The applicant has to log in with their Sing Pass app or alternatively the applicant has to login with their Singpass ID number and Password.
    Note: If the applicant doesn’t have singpass app he/she can download app from the app store. If the applicant does not have an account, he/she can register by clicking on register for singpass, read the information marked 1 and 2 and agreeing to the terms and conditions and click on register now, on the next page enter your personal information, and submit. The applicant will be issued his/her Sing Pass ID number and password.
  3. The applicant has to fill in all the necessary information in the application form (Incomplete application form are not accepted).
  4. The applicant has to upload all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
  5. After uploading the documents review the application and click submit.
  6. The applicant has to pay the prescribed fee as per the authority’s request.
  7. The authority will review the application and contact the applicant via email or SMS.
  8. The processing time of the application takes up to 4 to 7 working days.


Note: The applicant can check the status via the following link by using Singpass.

InstructionsEdit

  • Applicants must complete the application form before submitting it. Incomplete applications will not be accepted.
  • Applicants must provide genuine information while applying for this procedure.


Deceased was a Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident

  • There’s no need to inform the CPF Board. The relevant agencies will inform the authority. The authority will contact the applicant to withdraw the deceased’s savings only if he/she is one of the deceased’s nominees.


Deceased was a foreigner with a CPF account

  • The applicant needs to report the death at a CPF Service Centre or by post/email. In both cases he/she need to provide specific documents:
  • The deceased’s original death certificate and current passport duly cancelled due to his/her demise, or a copy certified by an official from a Singapore Overseas Mission with his/her official seal/stamp
  • A letter from the relevant authority confirming the deceased’s identity number, if the death certificate doesn’t show it
  • Evidence of the applicant relationship with the deceased
  • Applicant’s identity card or passport, and contact details

  • An application is needed when a person wants to withdraw a deceased members CPF account. GIRO is an automated electronic payment service where the amount will be automatically deducted from your DBS/POSB account and paid to your BO upon their request. All you need to do is to ensure that the designated bank account has sufficient funds before the deduction due date.
