Apply Online

1. To apply to Syariah Court for Inheritance Certificate, the applicant has to make the application in Syariah Court e-service portal or tap the following Link
2. The applicant needs to login with their Singpass Id number and password for individual user applicants or CorpPass (for law firms, MUIS, court or authority). If the applicant is an individual who is a foreigner and do not have a SingPass, you may apply for SYCPass to make the application.

   Note: If you do not have an account you can register by clicking on register now, read the information marked 1 and 2 and agree to the terms and condition and click on register now, no the next page entry your personal information and submit. You will be issued with you Sing Pass ID number and password.

3. The applicant has to provide the general information and application details.
4. Make sure the applicant has a required documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
5. After successful submission the applicant has to pay the application fee $34.00 via credit or debit card.
6. The authorized officer will inspect the place Upon full compliance to requirements and submission of required documents, SYC will approve the application.
7. The Inheritance Certificate will be issued through the SYC Portal in downloadable PDF format. It is available for download only for 14 days from the date of issuance.

• Death Certificate of the deceased
• Supporting documents showing relationship of the applicant beneficiary to the deceased
• Details of the lawful potential beneficiaries (Full name and NRIC/ID No.)
• For law firms, a letter of authorisation showing that you are instructed to make the application.
• For MUIS, court or authority, a letter of authorisation showing that your officer is authorised to make the application.

Need for the Document

• The Syariah Court may issue an Inheritance Certificate on the application of a person who claims to be a beneficiary of the estate of a deceased person, as to who is entitled to share in the estate of the deceased person, and the shares to which they are respectively entitled. The Inheritance Certificate is issued based on a hypothetical set of facts provided by the applicant. The Syariah Court does not hear evidence and does not make findings on any question of fact.
