Procedure

Apply In-Person

1. Applicants shall visit the nearby regional office of National Environment agency.
2. Refer the office contact details in the “Office contacts & Locations” section below for address details.
3. Collect the application form from the office. The application form can also be downloaded from the link:online link The application form can be found in pages 1and 2.
4. Now complete the form with the necessary information and make sure you have all the documents in hand that are listed under the “Required Documents” section of this page.
5. The individual applicant whose name has to appear on the licence should sign the application form. A person with power of attorney can sign the application form on behalf of the applicant.
6. When an application is made by a registered company or society, an authorised officer belonging to the company or society can sign the application form. The sole proprietor or the active partner can apply under his name in case of businesses.
7. After filling the form, attach the documents mentioned in the “Required Documents” section below with the completed application form.
8. Check the application form and then submit it to the concerned authority.
9. The application can also be submitted through post or through a representative by hand.
10. Now pay the required fee to the concerned authority.
11. The officer after validating the application form and the documents will provide you with an acknowledgement/receiving slip.
12. You will be notified of the result of your application by the authorities. An in-principle approval and a hygiene requirements list will be given to you.
13. The setup or renovation of your premises can be done according to the layout plan in the application. After that, you will have to visit the Regional Office to arrange a site inspection to check the compliance with all rules. After verification, if it is satisfactory, then the licence will be issued. You can collect the license at the office.

Required Documents

• A photocopy of one of the following documents is required.(where applicable):
  • NRIC [applying as Individual]
  • Information of Business Profile from Accounting & Corporate Regulatory Authority (ACRA) [applying as Company]
  • Certificate of Registration obtained from Registrar of Societies [applying as Society]
• A layout plan with scaled metric of the food wagon.
• Vehicle registration card / Log card
• Photos of Internal and external parts of the vehicle displaying licence number plate.
• Approvals obtained from respective landowners and relevant governmentagencies (URA) to operate mobile food wagon at their operation sites.

Approvals obtained from relevant government agencies pertaining to use and operation of the vehicle as mobile food wagon (eg. LTA, SCDF, etc)

• The list of food handlers employed using the prescribed formin Annex E which can be found in the application form.

Eligibility

The applicant should be a Singapore citizen / Permanent Resident.

Fees

The fee is $195.00 per annum. Payment should be made by GIRO.

Validity

It is valid for one year.

Instructions

• Application should be made on a prescribed form.
• The application can be made specifically to only one food wagon.
• If applicant is operating more than one food wagon, separate applications need to be submitted
• The vehicle should not ply the streets to sell from door-to-door.
• It can operate only at fixed locations approved by the respective land owner and / or relevant government agencies.
• The operator will have tomention the list of fixed locations in the application for approval.
• The completed application form can also be submitted through a representative by hand to the relevant Regional Office.
