Procedure

1. Complete the application form for passport extension. To download form, click this link: http://www.ica.gov.sg/data/resources/docs/Citizen%20Services/Form_IMM_E_13.pdf.
2. Submit the required documents to any of the following venues:

   National Service Liable Persons under SAF and pre-enlistees including those aged 11 to 16 years may apply at:

Note: For applicants under 16, the application for extension must be submitted by a parent or legal guardian. Applicants who are 16 years old and above must come personally to apply for an extension.

Required Documents

Passport holders below 16 years old

• Current passport
• Identity card (if applicable)
• Birth certificate
• Identity Card of parent or legal guardian (legal document of guardianship must be produced)
• Completed Application for Extension of Passport Form (if application is submitted to Central Manpower Base) Note: No form is needed for applications done at ICA.

Passport holders 16 years old and above

• Current passport
• Identity card
• Evidence of oath-taking including Singapore Citizenship Certificate, if you are required to take oath of renunciation, allegiance and loyalty
• Completed Application for Extension of Passport Form (if application is submitted to Central Manpower Base, HQ SCDF or Police National Service Department) Note: No form is needed for applications done at ICA.

Eligibility

• NS-liable male Singapore Passport holders aged between 11 and 17 years who have passports issued before 15 Aug 2006 are the only eligible for passport extension.
• NS-liable Singapore Biometric Passport (issued after 15 Aug 2006) holders have to apply for a new passport once the current passport expires.

Fees

Application for passport extension is free of charge.

Validity

• First time applicants: 5 years
• Passport extensions: 5 years + remaining validity

Note:
If the remaining validity of your passport exceeds 9 months, the validity upon extension will be pegged at 5 years 9 months.

Processing Time
