Singapore - Apply Long Term Visit Pass To See Spouse is Citizen or Permanent Resident

Apply Online (Spouse is Singapore citizen)
- The sponsor of the applicant has to visit the website in the link:online link
- Click on “Apply for Long-term visit pass” button.
- Then click on “Spouse of Singapore citizen (SC)” button
- Log into the SingPass account by typing the “SingPass ID” and “Password” if you have account. Otherwise, you can create account by clicking on “Register now” button.
- Fill in all the required details and click on “next” button.
- In the next page, fill in all the applicant’s details and upload all the documents in the “Required Documents” section below. Then, click on “next” button.
- Check the details in the confirmation page and click on “Submit” button.
- In the next page, check the payment summary and proceed to make payment through preferred payment mode.
- After payment, an acknowledgement page can be viewed. The acknowledgement page shows the application reference number which can be used when you enquire your application status.
- You can check the status of the application in the link:online linkClick on “Enquire application status” button.
- The applicant and the sponsor have to complete Appendix (VP):online link in which they have to give their consent for ICA to obtain and verify financial information from the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS) and/or the Central Provident Fund Board of Singapore (CPF).
- The applicant and/or the sponsor may be called for an interview. The ICA may contact the applicant and/or the sponsor to request for any additional documents or to arrange an interview, if needed.
- During the processing time, please wait to be notified of the outcome via email or check using the e-Service rather than contacting ICA. Original documents or photocopies may be needed.
- After approval of the application, make payment of the collection fee using the e-Service within 30 days of the issue date on the approval notice. In case the applicant fails to make payment, the approved application will be cancelled.
- You can get the In-Principle Approval (IPA) letter using the e-Service. The IPA letter which is valid for two months from date of issue can be downloaded. It cannot be equated to an LTVP.
- You must undergo a medical check-up if required and is stated in the IPA letter.
- You can book an e-Appointment for completion of formalities in the following link:online link In the drop down menu, select “completion of Long Term Visit Pass formalities”. Fill in the required details and submit by clicking on the “submit” button.
- The applicant has to complete the formalities for the LTVP in order to collect the LTVP card at the ICA Building.
- You can refer to the IPA letter for preparing the originals and photocopies of documents listed in the letter, including documents that were already submitted during the application process.
- You may have to pay a security deposit in support of the LTVP if the IPA letter mentions that it is required.
- You can download a copy of the LTVP card Terms and Conditions in the link:online link
- On the appointment date, the applicant and sponsor must visit the ICA Building, Level 4, and show the documents listed in the IPA letter to the ICA officer and collect the LTVP card in person at the ICA Building.

- Then click on “Spouse of Permanent Resident” button
- Log into the SingPass account by typing the “SingPass ID” and “Password” if you have account. Otherwise, you can create account by clicking on “Register now” button.
- Fill in all the required details and click on “next” button.
- In the next page, fill in all the applicant’s details and upload all the documents in the “Required Documents” section below. Then, click on “next” button.
- Check the details in the confirmation page and click on “Submit” button.
- In the next page, check the payment summary and proceed to make payment through preferred payment mode.

The documents required from foreign spouse who is the applicant are as follows:
- Passport biodata page
- Disembarkation/ Embarkation (D/E) card
- Applicant's recent passport-sized, digital, colour photograph taken within the last three months. Please click here for photo guidelines.
- Letter of employment, stating date of commencement, designation and monthly salary (if applicable). For those who are self employed, a valid registration certificate from the Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority (ACRA) and the company's Profit and Loss Statement for the past 12 months (if applicable).
- Payslips for the past 6 months (if applicable)
The document required from the spouse who is a Singapore citizen / Permanent Resident and is the sponsor are as follows:
- Identity Card
- Income Tax Notice of Assessment for the past three years, and Central Provident Fund (CPF) Statement showing monthly CPF contributions for the past 12 months
- Letter of employment, stating date of commencement, designation and monthly salary. For those who are self-employed, a valid registration certificate from the Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority (ACRA) and the company’s Profit and Loss Statement for the past 12 months.
- Payslips for the past 6 months
The documents required from both spouses are as follows:
- Certificate(s) showing highest level of academic qualification
- Marriage certificate
- Divorce certificate(s), if either or both of you have been married before
- Letter of Long-Term Visit Pass Eligibility (LLE), if applicable.

- The Spouse of a Singapore citizen / Permanent residentis eligible to apply
- The sponsor who is the spouse of the applicant should be a Singapore citizen / Permanent Resident having a SingPass account and must be aged above 21 years.
FeesEdit
- The fee is S$30 which is non-refundable for each application. Additional fees will be required upon collection
- After approval of the application, make payment of the collection fee which is S$60 using the e-Service within 30 days of the issue date on the approval notice.

Processing TimeEdit
- If spouse is a Singapore Permanent Resident the processing time may take six weeks
- If spouse is a Singapore citizen the processing time can be as follows.
- If a Pre-Marriage Long-Term Visit Pass Application (PMLA) has been submitted before applying for, it may take up to six weeks to process the application.
- If a PMLA was not submitted, the LTVP processing time may take six months.

InstructionsEdit
- Application for an Long-Term Visit Pass (LTVP) must be made with at least 10 days remaining on your Visit Pass.
- A visitor in Singapore must always possess a valid Visit Pass during their stay. You must also possess a passport issued in your name.
- Renewal of the LTVP must be done at least 2 months before the expiration of the current LTVP.

- If the applicant desires to extend his/her short-term stay during the LTVP application, an extension fee will be required after approval. This fee is required only if the applicant has continuously renewed his/her Short-Term Visit Pass for three months or longer from the date of arrival in Singapore.

- American Express (AMEX) credit card
- Internet Direct Debit (DBS/POSB, OCBC, UOB, Standard Chartered Bank and Citibank Internet Banking accounts in Singapore)
