Sikkim - Online Apply for Certificate of Identification (COI) through E-Form

Step 1 :First one has to make sure that all the required documents are in hand to apply online. If you would like to know about the documents that are required for this procedure, please visit the following link: Required Documents to Apply for Certificate of Identification (COI)

Step 2 :Please use the following link to apply online : Apply Online.

Step 3 : If you are a new user, register with your details by clicking on “New User Registration” button which is highlighted in “Yellow” in the below image.

Step 4 :Submit the details for registration by clicking on “Register” button which is highlighted in “Red” in the below image.

Step 5 :A link will be sent for activation to your email ID. Open your email and click on the link. In the new page, enter the “User ID” and click on “Submit” button which is highlighted in “Red” in the below image.

Step 6 :In the page, click on “Click here to login” hyperlink which is highlighted in “Red” in the below image.

Step 7 :In the new page, enter the “Login Id” and click on “Continue” button which is highlighted in “Red” in the below image.

Step 8 :In the login page, please enter “Login id”, “Password” and “captcha” as appropriate and click “Login” button which is highlighted in “Red” in the below image.

Step 9 :After login, clickon “Apply for Identity Certificate” option which is highlighted in “Red” in the below image.

Step 10 :Then, click on “Click here to download the soft copy of the form” hyperlink which is highlighted in “Red” in the below image.

Step 11 :After filling the E- Form, click on “Click here to upload the filled form” hyperlink which is highlighted in “Red” in the below image.

Step 12 :Choose the “State” and “District” from the drop down menus which are highlighted in “Red” in the below image.

Step 13 : Fill in the required details, upload the documents and click on the “Upload” button which is highlighted in “Red” in the below image.

Step 14 : After uploading the form, the payment portal will open. Make the payment to complete the registration process.

Step 15 : You will need to take out the print out of the application form after submitting it. For the print out, click on the “View Saved/Submitted Applications” option which is highlighted in “Red” in the below image. Print the application form

Step 16 : You will receive a confirmation SMS on your registered mobile number once the payment is successful.

Step 17 : After the authorities verify the submitted form and the documents, you will receive another SMS on your registered mobile number stating the date and time on which you need to visit the office.

Step 18 : On receiving the SMS, visit the office on the asked date and time with the original documents and the print out of the application form.

Step 19 : On the day of reporting, the concerned authorities will verify all the original documents.

Step 20 : Once all the above procedures are successfully completed, you will be given a receipt. Keep the receipt safe and wait till you receive any further information.

Step 21 : You will receive an SMS on your registered mobile number, once your application is processed and the certificate is printed and ready for dispatch.
