Apply In Person:

  1. To Apply for Diploma in Elementary Education (D El Ed) Certificate, the applicant has to approach the National Institute of Open Schooling, Ministry of Education link
  2. An application form will be provided to the applicant by the concerned officer or it can be downloaded from the following link
  3. The applicant has to fill in all the necessary details in the application form. (Incomplete applications are not accepted)
  4. Ensure that the applicant has attached all the necessary documents mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
  5. Submit all the documents with the completed form to the concerned officer.
  6. The applicant has to pay the prescribed fee to the concerned officer.
  7. After receiving the application, the concerned authority will check the submitted application and document set. If all are in place, the application will be accepted.
  8. An acknowledgment receipt will be provided. Please save it for future reference.
  9. Then the application will be processed further.
  10. Once the application got approved, the applicant will get a call or notification regarding the application.
  11. The concerned institution will release the merit list based on the marks obtained in the qualifying examination.
  12. If the applicant is selected for the course, he/she is required to attend a counseling session and complete the admission process by submitting the necessary documents and paying the admission fee.
  13. Once the examination date is announced, the applicant can download the admit card from the official website and appear for the examination.
  14. After completing the course successfully, the applicant will be awarded a D.El.Ed certificate through the post.
  15. This entire process of registration can be completed within 4 – 5 weeks or as per the timeline advised by the respective department authority.
  16. The course completion takes up to 2 years.
