Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. To apply for a Phytosanitary certificate, Applicant shall approach the Crop and Animal Health Services (CAHS). Contact details are listed below under the “office locations and contacts” section
2. You have to submit an Application form to the Crop and Animal Health Services (CAHS).
3. Application format can be found under “Schedule 2” on the following link: Link
4. Download the application format and fill up your details.
5. Please make sure you have all the required documents that are listed under the “Required documents” section of this page.
6. The applicant has to present the duly filled application form and Documents to the Crop and Animal Health Services (CAHS).
7. After the application form is processed, the applicant has to pay the prescribed fee.
8. The CAHS schedules an inspection. The Inspector inspects the shipment destined for export.
9. Once the inspection yields satisfactory results, the inspector issues a Phytosanitary Certificate.

Validity

The Certificate is valid per shipment or consignment. A new shipment requires a new Phytosanitary Certificate
