Procedure

Apply In-Person

1. To apply for Renew Transport Authorization License or Transport License, an applicant should Visit the Road Transport Department or in regional offices (mining service) in other regions. (Please view address detail under Office Locations & Contacts section below).

   • Note: Applicants are advised to book an appointment via the CAPP KARANGË booking confirmation, number: (+221) 77 438 86 19 before visiting the Road Transport Department offices.

2. On the scheduled appointed date and time, you are required to head to the specific Road Transport Department or in regional offices (mining service) as advised by the CAPP KARANGË staff during the appointment confirmation process.
3. Applicants are required to complete the Renew Application form for Transport Authorization License, forms are available for free at the Enquiries Desk at any of the offices of the Department of Road Transport.
4. Applicants should then submit the duly completed application forms along with the relevant attachments (mentioned below under the ‘Required Documents’ section) to the Registration and licensing Officer at the nearest Department of Road Transport for approval.
5. On receipt of the application file, the Registration and licensing officer will then verify, if all the necessary information and documents have been provided for processing, if everything is in order, you will then be required to pay for a tax stamp, whose value varies according to request.
6. It is only after the deposit of the complete application file and payment of the required fee, that the application file will be registered and recorded and the applicant will be issued with an acknowledgment slip containing details of the application.
7. If approved the renewed Transport Authorization License will be drawn up, signed, and stamped by the authorized official and made available to be collected by the client against his/her identity document and the acknowledgment slip.
   

Online tracking of the application file

1. Upon submission of the application file for processing by the department of road transport office, applicants can track the progress of their application by visit the CAPP KARANGË website Link and click on FOLLOW MY FILE option located on the menu bar.
2. Fill in the online file consultation form, using the information mentioned on the acknowledgment slip, captch the security details and then click on the To Consult tab.
3. Details of your application progress will then be displayed on the screen.

Required Documents

• A photocopy of the road transport approval card for public transport or the certificate of registration in the trade register for private transport
• A duly completed renewal form (available from the Road Transport Directorate, in the regional offices of the regions)
• The transport authorization license to renew
• Copy of vehicle registration document
• A Tax stamp of 7,500 FCFA for public transport and 15,000 for private transport
• Valid identity document.

Eligibility

• Holders of Transport Authorization License that required to be renewed.

Fees

Transport authorization License renew fees;

• 15,000 F (Public Transport) stamp duty and 30,000 F stamp duty (Private Transport).
• 7,500 FCFA for the issue of the title

Validity

• The validity for the Transport Authorization License is mentioned on the license and renewable thereafter.
• This license needs to be renewed on time, so as to keep enjoying the incentives that comes with holding a valid road transport authorization license.
