ProcedureEdit

1.To obtain a Tax Identification Number (TIN) referred to as numro d'identification nationale des entreprises et des associations (NINEA) in Senegal, the applicant should start by finding out the procedure and requirements for obtaining the number. This information can be obtained from the Centre Tax Services Board (Au Centre des services fiscaux (CSF).

2.When the above information is obtained, the applicant proceeds with obtaining all the required documents. At this stage an applicant must prepare the right documents he requires as documents vary basing on the type of applicant;

3.When all documents are obtained, the applicant goes ahead and writes an application letter for the identification number, when he / she submits together with required documents to the registry at the Centre Tax Service Board;

4.When documents are received, they are examined and assessed to see if they meet all the requirements;

5.If approved, a tax identification number is assigned and registration number is issued to the applicant

a)For the owner or occupier of land

  • A written application
  • A photocopy of the national identity card
  • A certificate of occupancy title (lease documents, occupancy permits, land titles, etc.)

b)For traders

  • A written application
  • A photocopy of the national identity card
  • A photocopy of the certificate of registration in the commercial register
  • Proof of physical location of business

c)For a member of a profession

  • A written application
  • Copy of the national identity card
  • A photocopy of the certificate of registration in the commercial register
  • Copy of membership card

For a corporation

a)For a Groupement d'intrt economique (GIE)

  • A written application
  • A photocopy of the national identity card of the President of GIE
  • Copy of GIE laws
  • Proof of physical location of GIE
  • Certificate of registration

b)For a corporation

  • Copy of the articles of association
  • Certificate of registration
  • Proof of physical location of corporation

c)For an association

  • A written application
  • A copy of the Articles of Association
  • A copy of the receipt of memorandum of association

d)For an Non Government Organization (NGO)

  • A written application
  • A copy of the statutes of the NGO
  • A copy of the decree establishing the NGO

An individual / company / business / organizations that carry out taxable transactions these include:

1.Any company either natural or legal persons operating in the country regardless of size shape legality and nationality;

2.Declared domestic or foreign associations and political parties

3.Government institutions and local communities



FeesEdit

The issuance of numro d'identification nationale des entreprises et des associations (NINEA) is free but applicants are required to pay for a tax stamp which is 1000 FCFA.

As long as business / company exists and as long as registration is not cancelled

1.Applications for individual are submitted in person or by a legally authorized person;

2.Applications for legal entities must be submitted by the head of the structure;

3.Obtain a Numro dIdentification National des Entreprises et des Associations(NINEA)for corporations is due immediately after registration;

4.Corporations can obtain the number during the registration process at the one-stop shop in Senegal;

5.Applicants must know that using a Tax Identification Number (TIN) in Senegal is mandatory in reports between administrations and agencies;

6.In cases where an applicant is not sure of what to do, he / she can authorize a legally recognized consulting firm to represent him / her;
