1.To apply for a Senegalese transit visa, like any other visa, the applicant starts with pre-enrollment and payment of necessary fees. This is done online and in this case, the applicant visits the SNEDAI Senegal website www.visasenegal.sn, on the page, he/she clicks in the prompt click here to apply for your visa.
This leads the applicant to a page http://www.visasenegal.sn/?page_id=9&lang=en
on the applicant clicks on the prompt click here to start which also leades him / her to another page

on the page the applicant responds to the given questions and there after the system takes him / her through the following steps of pre-enrolment;

2.After completing the pre-enrolment step, the applicant must find an issuing agency either in home or neighbouring country. A list of issuing agencies can be viewed by visiting http://www.visasenegal.sn/?page_id=97.

3.If an applicant is able to identify an appropriate issuing agency, he / she must go to agency where the biometric information is taken by the authority and thereafter a visa is issued. Applicants who are not able to identify any issuing agency should travel with the biometric data to Senegal and upon arrival on the entry point, the information is taken and a visa is issued shortly but in this case the applicant must use an entry port that issues visa on arrival as not all ports issue visa;

InstructionsEdit

1.An applicant must have a valid passport with a blank visa page;

2.An applicant must have a sole purpose of transiting to another country;

3.be travelling to a third country;

4.A submitted passport must be valid six months beyond required period of stay in the country;

5.Applicants are advised not to carry dangerous substance / material while entering Senegal;

6.Applicant must endeavor to leave country upon expiration of visa;

7.All foreigners must enter country through designated entry ports;

8.Applicants must know that a journey cannot be cancelled in a transit country;

9.An applicant must be aware and ready to comply with the rules and regulations of immigration department and of the entire country;

10.An applicant must obtain visa and ticket to third destination before submitting application for Senegal visa;

11.A transit visa does not authorize involving in any work related activities;

12.The immigration department in the country has the authority to reject entry even when a foreigner has a visa;

13.An applicant before applying must have an email address for which a verification code is sent in the process of pre-enrolment;

14.An applicants must ensure that all documents are in a recognized format and meet the required size before submitting them online;

15.JPG, PNG, GIF and PDF are the only accepted formats in which documents must be submitted online;

16.An applicants must ensure that he / she has one of these cards Visa card, MasterCard and MAESTRO card to enable him / her make payment online;

17.Applicant must be aware that not all entry ports issue visas on arrival;

18.The agencies that are able to issue biometric visas are those with capacity to take biometric data;

19.When travelling with a child, an applicant is advised to must carry a proof of parenthood or guardianship or an authorization letter from the childrens parents/guardians.

A Senegalese transit visa is a stamp or endorsement placed on the passport of a foreigner by officials of the government of Senegal for purposes passing through Senegal to a third destination. Senegalese visas are issued by the government through the Ministry of Interior and its diplomatic missions in foreign countries.
